2019/20 DBBL Pre-Season Rankings: New season, new opportunities for teams. Did not get to do as much research for this as I wanted, so it isn't great, but its a starting point.
1. Silicon Valley Athletics: New owner, but still defending champ, gets the top spot every time in any of my rankings
2. New England High Tides: Runner up, still has a very solid roster, so I think he will be a team to watch out for again.
3. Cincinnati Sabercats: Added Anthony Davis among others and looks to be poised to fight for the top seed this season.
4. Green Jays: Has Giannas and others, and made a good playoff run last year, will be tough to face off with every week
5. Team Blouses: Was a playoff team last year, and brings back James Harden, Joe Ingles, Gobert, and Payton, and brought in Augustin. Will also get a big boost
when Nurkic comes back.
6. Teen Wolf: Made the playoffs last year, have Trae Young, Draymond, Joel Embiid, Bledsoe, Lou Williams, and Valanciunas as the pieces that will lead this team.
7. The Game: Booker, Myles Turner, Luka Doncic, Siakam, and Lavine will lead The Game into this season, and will hope the supporting cast are strong this year.
8. Akron Hammers: Traded LeBron away, but has Lonzo, Lamb, Butler, Sabonis, D-Lo, Gary Harris, and Whiteside to give this team a fairly balanced roster.
9. Crystal River Pirates: Pirates added Zion over the off-season, have Beal, Wiggins, Tatum, Adams, and Hield as well so this team has the talent to be competitive.
10. Dune Fremen: My vote for surprising team last year, roster looked talented on paper, but never got it all to work together, added Randle and KD over the off-season
11. Massachusetts Lucky Leprechauns: New owner, team lost KD and Randle over the offseason, but still has Kyrie and Derozan, could be sneaky
12. Boston Ballers: Jokic, Drummond, and Middleton make a nice core for this team. If Sexton, Jaren Jackson, Tobias Harris, and Fournier can all have big years this team could make a WC run
13. South Beach Savages: Has Russ, Brandon Ingram (who should get better this year), and Jamal Murray to headline the roster, and some useful pieces, so could play their cards right and be a WC contender
14. SLO Buckets: Has some big names with Lillard, Leonard, and Capela, it will be on the pieces around them to push this team forward, as they still need to fill the roster
15. DMHO Lab Rats: Think outside of Steph Curry they are lacking talent, and were around the bottom all last year, so we will see if they change that
16. Long Island Knicks: No real reason for being in last, just in a group of teams I think will be down there, but could be wrong
