So guys I have put some serious thought into this and talked to a couple guys about it.
During the FA draft it became VERY clear to me and some other owners that our current cap situation is not working very well, there are a number of guys not owned that I feel SHOULD be owned regardless of their contract.
With that in mind, I will be ADDING $5 million to the cap before FAB opens.
To open next offseason the cap will be bumped to $165 million.
We only had 3/4 guys go into the FA Draft with the ability to draft the max guys, and still have a number that will go through FAB this year. That is NOT how I want this league to be run, if I wanted guys to have our own contracts I would have set the league up that way.
I take full responsibility for not seeing this is what would happen, and am committed to getting this right and making this league awesome for a long time!

Glad you are making the changes to NEXT year and not the current season.

Glad you are making the changes to NEXT year and not the current season. Well we already went through FAB decisions, Franchise decisions and FA draft. All adding $5 million to the cap for this year only makes people have more cap for FAB. Honestly, I think this is exactly the right thing and to not do anything for this years cap. Take a team like Breakers for example. He clearly has a plan of three superstars and then trying to fill in the rest. A totally fine strategy but I guarantee Mal for example would think harder about dealing LeBron if he knew he had 5 more million for this year, Brian may not have dealt AD to me, etc etc. You just cant go into an offseason with one set of rules and then come out with something different IMO
