Comment here for idea for rules to add this offseason for the league to discuss and vote on
1. Expanding rosters The idea has been thrown out that we add a UTL and a bench spot for next year as we have a decent amount of talent left in the FA pool. I am in favor of this, but could also be swayed to do one or the other.
2. DLeague/Euro League Expanding it? Possibly? Clearing up some of the rules about who is eligible, if guys can be moved their during the season, etc.
3. Discussing Lottery Rules.
4. Setting rules for inactivity
5. Putting in rule book that #1 seed in playoff will play lowest seed remaining in second round of playoffs
6. Setting a date to cut off when guys can sign new deals with current teams and stay on DBBL rosters without getting tagged
7. Setting concrete dates for Franchise tag deadline, Rookie & FA drafts.
More to come

I think both of these were topics I have thrown to you so I agree with both thoughts. For #1, adding a util spot will help balance teams more as well and there are a ton of very solid players still out in FA. I certainly wouldnt go over two more roster spots, but even a team that is rebuilding, there are tons of those guys still out there. If we added two spots, I think more cap is needed IMO.
For #2, my thing is if they are in the D league, they should be eligible to be on the d league here. I know it makes it a little tough to manage, but right now they had to be in the D/G league before the season really to be eligible. There are guys that would make me want to make a change but I cant so I am just holding out until next year.
Honestly, to make it far easier, I would rather just do our own D/G league spot instead. Exclude the top 10 picks in either the NBA draft or our draft, and allow any other draft pick and guy in the D/G League to be allowed on that spot. So for example, lets look at a guy like Dzanan Musa for the Nets. He was the 29th pick in the 1st round. Since he was on the NBA roster to start the year, he could not be on the D/G league spot. Granted he is hurt right now, but he was only averaging 3.7 minutes in the NBA when he was there. He is a perfect guy that should be eligible for that spot. He has talent but he just destroys a roster spot since he doesnt play much if at all in the NBA.
I hope my suggestion makes sense, let me know if it doesnt.

I have been thinking about the D/G League eligibility. I would like to offer the suggestion of guys under 20 games played are eligible, UNLESS they were taken in the first round in our league.
Along with that, I think opening it up to being able to own like 5 guys or even no limit would be good to help teams maybe make trades during the season

I'd be in favor of letting any rookie have D/G league eligibility. I think that flexibility is fair to owners who have to invest in the volatility of non-top picks. For example, only one player outside of the top 12 picks played more than 25 minutes per game this season, which makes it hard to keep them on a NBA roster. Letting them be added to the D/G league would incentivize smart long-term draft picks.

There has to be a limit on how many players you can stash. Agree with opening up the eligibility restrictions.

I agree with the limit if we go with looser eligibility. I think that's the only way it could work.
